Getting there
By air
Tweed New Haven Airport (HVN) is the closest airport, about 15 minutes from the venue, though it serves a limited number of routes.
Bradley International Airport (BDL), near Hartford, is about 1 hour and 15 minutes away by car and offers many more flight options.
Coming through New York, LaGuardia (LGA) and JFK are each roughly 2 hours away, Newark (EWR) about 2 hours and 15 minutes, and Westchester County Airport (HPN) about 1 hour.
From New York City
Metro-North’s New Haven Line runs from Grand Central Terminal to New Haven Union Station in about 2 hours. Amtrak’s Northeast Regional from Penn Station takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes.
From Union Station, the New Haven Lawn Club is a short taxi or rideshare ride — about 5 minutes up Whitney Avenue.
Driving
Take I-95 to I-91 North in New Haven, then Exit 3 toward downtown, following signs for Whitney Avenue (Route 10). The club is at 193 Whitney Ave. The Merritt Parkway (Route 15) also serves New Haven via the Whitney Avenue corridor.
Dress code
Formal attire. Black tie is not required — an evening gown or a dark suit and tie are perfect.
Formal, but not white tie: evening gowns or formal cocktail dresses, and dark suits with ties, are all welcome. Please avoid white, ivory, and cream.
